Today we hiked part of the Pacific Crest Trail to the top of Chinidere Mountain. The wildflowers were amazing. I'll do a separate post with some of my wildlife pictures.
This hike starts off with lots and lots of stairs that take you down to Wathum Lake. There are quite a few camp sites around the lake, so despite this location being pretty far away from civilization, it's a popular spot.
After the lake you meet up with the PCT and start hiking toward Chinidere Mountain.
This is looking up at the top. The views from the summit are amazing. On a clear day you can see Mt. Hood on one side, and Mt. Adams on the other. Unfortunately, today was not a clear day.
If you look in the middle of the trees you can see Wathum Lake.
WOW BEAUTIFUL PICTURES!!!
