Our next stop on our big adventure was Stowe, VT. When we lived in Vermont, visiting Stowe was a favorite thing to do - especially in the fall! On the way to Stowe there are several tourist attractions - Cabot cheese outlet (with LOTS of samples) and Color Hollow Cider Mill.
We met Grandpa and Grandma Foley at the Cabot store and fed our faces with cheese. Then we headed to Cold Hollow Cider Mill for cider and donuts. We met them there before - when Syd was a baby, so there were lots of memories.
The clouds moved a bit and the blue skies made an appearance for a little bit....
Our hotel was located right along this little river and had the most gorgeous tree in back.
There was a lot of leaf throwing...
and tree climbing...
And good ole Tuffy (or Taffy?) watched.
The next morning the rain was gone and the sun was out. It's AMAZING what a difference the sun can make!
Our time with Grandpa and Grandma Foley was over all too quickly and it was time for us to keep driving west. Even though our visit was brief, it was great to be together.
