We've had a doosey of a week here when it comes to weather. It's been unusually cold...in the teens and 20s which is really crazy for us.
It's gotten so cold that our little pond next to our house has frozen over. Even the lake across the street is partially frozen. Enough so that we walked out on to it. (don't worry...it was the part that was only a foot deep to start with).
We saw these animal tracks in the snow on the ice.
This is the bigger lake....
Yesterday we got some happy mail from NY. We did a nature exchange with the Haseltine boys. We sent them twelve items we gathered and they sent us twelve things. It was so fun to unwrap each treasure. Mary was apologizing for their selection, but we LOVED it.
My personal favorites are the chinese lantern and the monarch wing.
And here is our Christmas tree. I was playing around with my camera settings to take this shot....
Hi! How are you? I have not talked to you forever and miss you! It has been one of my busiest years :) I realized that I did not save your new email address...not sure how that happened, but I would really like it! I hope you are all doing well...I love seeing the pictures of everyone, you all look great!
ReplyDeleteLove the idea of a nature exchange! How fun! Portland resembles Buffalo right now!
