The Week Before Christmas

We've been busy doing Christmas things at our house. Actually busy is probably not the right word because we aren't busy in the normal sense. We are just enjoying some down time from our regular activities and schedule and enjoying focusing on Christmas stuff. 

Last week we made cookies. Lots and lots of cookies. Cookies for us, cookies for our neighbors, cookies for friends and cookies for co-workers.

We also went caroling with our violins. This was the first year I didn't even take my violin along! We played for our coffee shop friend Barb and also our neighbors. I kept telling the girls they didn't have to do this if they didn't want to, but they love it. Today we have 2 more places to go and play.

The girls also played two songs at church on Sunday - Joy to the World and Hark! The Herald Angels sing. They did a great job.

It's kind of nice having "nothing to do". I'm sure we'll find ways to fill our days.
