A week ago Friday I set out to rearrange the girls room. I've had paint and have been meaning to touch up some spots on the walls since Thanksgiving, so I decided that I should just do it while rearranging the room.
But when I started painting, I realized the color match was way off and I ended up painting the whole room.
After rearranging the room, I realized we were in need of some uniformity. I think that's one of the tricks to minimizing clutter.
Kayleigh and I made a trip to IKEA one day while Sydney and Kevin were out shooting people with their paintball guns. We found matching bedspreads and some pillow cases.
I also switched out the purple baskets with these boxes and thought it was an improvement.
But it still wasn't what I had in mind. So the girls and I made another trip to IKEA.
I really can't believe the difference.
And without realizing it or intending to, I managed to match the ugly blinds that came with the house when we bought it. Now they look great!
I splurged and bought the IKEA boxes that fit this bookshelf. The girls love how roomy they are and were more than willing to store their "displays" inside them.
I know having a re-decorated room isn't all that important in the scheme of things...it's just fluff...but I really do like it and my skin doesn't crawl when I walk into the girls' room every day like it used to.
WOW WE LOVE YOUR NEW ROOM IT LOOKS SOOOOOOOOOOOO NICE!!! Sofia loves your room too she said it is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD!!!
