One month ago today we left for Thailand...hardly seems like it was a month ago. It's a little weird to be on this side of the trip. We'd dreamed of and planned the trip for so long...and now it's in the past.
Please pray for our friends, Dave and Karen Eubank - and their kids, Sahalie, Suuzanne and Peter. They are scheduled to go to South Sudan (with Samaritan's Purse) in May. They have been invited to go and train relief teams in South Sudan - an area where so much oppression in happening, much like in Burma. Basically, they are going from one frying pan to another. Please pray for them - and for the people of South Sudan and Burma -specifically the Kachin tribe who is under attack right now. It's hard for Dave to leave Burma knowing that the very people he wants to help and reach are under attack. But God has made it clear to them and given them peace about going to Africa at this time.
Having been there....and witnessed just a little bit of the work they do.... we feel even more compelled to act as prayer warriors for them.
Ok...on to what's happening here in Oregon. Not much. Except spring is sprung and with it a whole lot of beauty.
Last week, the girls and I visited the tulip fields....it was gorgeous!
If you look closely in the photo below, you can see Mt. Hood to the right....
It wasn't as muddy as years' past because it had been dry the week leading up to our visit, but Syd still managed to find and play in every mud puddle there was!
Our neighborhood and park has been spectacularly beautiful as well. We've taken many walks, bike rides and runs this past week.
It seems the blue skies and sun have left us, and we have rain, rain, rain in the forecast. But...that's also what makes Oregon so beautiful and lush so I guess we'll tolerate it!
Have a wonderful Easter weekend!
