More From Phi Phi

Our boat trip lasted all day. It was difficult to get good photos while we were on the boat because it rarely slowed down.

We headed to the bigger island - Phi Phi Don - for lunch. We had an hour to eat and explore. Lunch was a buffet that was included in our day trip and had both Thai and American food. We didn't have much time to walk the streets - just enough to find some ice cream for dessert. I had been told there would be no shopping, so we didn't have much money. I saw several things I would have liked to have gotten, though.

After lunch, we went by Monkey beach.  Our boat was too big to pull up to the beach (another time the local taxi would have been nice). There were a lot of wild monkeys on the beach!

We also had the chance to do some snorkelling...about 30  minutes. Again...not enough time, in my opinion. It was a great place for snorkelling, though, and we saw some great fish and coral reefs. This was definitely a highlight for all of us.

Kevin had a waterproof case for his phone, so he took some uderwater pics.

  1. Monkey beach-how totally fun! What a shame you couldn't dock there and let the girls play. I'm just struck over and over when I see your pictures how great the Creator is- such beauty!
