Memorial Day

I'm really behind on posting this....

Monday we headed out for another hike and yet another waterfall was our destination. (I love waterfalls and would be perfectly happy seeing one every day). I had never done this particular hike before - it's one of the more popular trails in the Gorge and is always crowded. We got to the trailhead early to beat the Memorial Day rush.

We met up with two other couples from church and had a nice time and fairly uncrowded hike to Punchbowl Falls.

To see the waterfall, you have to hike around this mountain stream and balance on rocks. When it's warmer, you'll often see people swimming back to the waterfall, but it was much too cold and rainy for us to do that. Everything was so lush and green back here.

We hiked a little bit further to see the next waterfall, too. This particular trail goes on for miles and miles and is very popular with backpackers.

As we hiked out, we passed a lot of people as it was getting quite crowded.

After we got home, we were invited by our wonderful neighbors to take a ride on their new boat.
