Suzuki Concert

This first video is of Kayleigh's group class playing Gavotte in g minor. They worked hard on this all week, and then found out on the last day it would not be on the final concert. So they gave the parents a final performance of it in group.

And here they are playing Gavotte by Becker

Here's Sydney's group - they were working on this so you'll hear them stop and talk.

Another one of Sydney's group playing...

This is from the final concert and is the most advanced group. The teacher leading this is the teacher the girls had last year for master class.

Gavotte by Martini in the final concert. Sydney's group teacher is leading and her group, plus anyone who knows this piece is playing. At the final concert they do what is called a "play down". They start with the most advanced players and add people to the stage as they know the pieces. By the end, by Twinkle, the stage is FULL of kids!

Witches' Dance by Paganini, led by Ed Sprunger (who went to Goshen College in Indiana - the other Mennonite college. He studied with Lon Sherer there. When I was in high school, I went to Goshen Music week and took lessons with Lon Sherer)

Chorus by Handel, led by Yoko Acheson (Sydney's master class teacher who is from California)

the final Twinkle (they invite the crowd to sing)
