We had a wonderful getaway to Bend last week...beautiful weather and many new experiences. Just staying in Bend rather than Sunriver was a new experience for us. We stayed in a small house within walking distance of downtown.
On Wednesday we hiked up Tumalo Mountain. This might be my new favorite hike. It was uphill for 2 miles, but the views from the top were so rewarding.
I particularly liked seeing all the ski slopes Mt. Bachelor has to offer.
And there were great views of South Sister (on the far left) and Broken Top (on the right).
After the hike we headed to Sparks Lake - one of the Cascade lakes nearby. This was another new to us stop and it was beautiful!

The girls decided to share their Cheetos with the birds and it was fun to watch them eat right out of their hands.
