Over the weekend I headed to Illinois to attend my Grandma's visitation and funeral. I arrived late Saturday night, just in time to celebrate Easter. It was hard to be away from Kevin and the girls on Easter, but we did most of our celebrating on Saturday before I left.
After attending church on Easter morning, we headed to the botannical garden in Peoria to see the Easter lily display.
Then we drove north to spend the rest of the day at my cousins' house. They live on a farm and it was fun to see all their animals - especially the rabbits.
The rest of the visit was preparing for and going through the things that are involved when a loved one passes away. It was so much harder than I thought it would be and I still get choked up thinking about our loss. My Grandma was well-loved and highly respected by so many. She leaves a great legacy.
Cousins came from Kansas and South Dakota, Aaron traveled from Virginia and Keith's sons came from Houston.

Nice photos of your family. It's so good you got the chance to be together and mourn together and celebrate your Grandmother's beautiful life.
