We had a very important and special visitor come to Portland this past Thursday (no, I'm not talking about President Obama)...Grandma Redman came for a weekend visit!
We packed quite a bit into the 3 1/2 days, including a day/night getaway for Kevin and I! The girls loved having Grandma all to themselves and I think they all had fun making some pretty special memories.
We had absolutely gorgeous weather here over the weekend - very summer like. On Saturday we did the Portland thing. We walked the river/bridge walk, moseyed through the Saturday Market and ate at a favorite restaurant.
Sunday we headed to Hood River after church for wine tasting and pizza.
The girls aren't big fans of wine tasting, but they tolerate it pretty well.
It was fun to have my mom here for Mother's Day.
What a blessing to share this Mother's Day together. How precious to have this time with your Mom after the loss of your dear Grandma.It must have been a very healing,fun, loving, cool, wine-loving, awesome time you'll all hold close in your hearts. xo
