Out and About Sequim

The town of Sequim (pronounced "Skwim") is located in the northwest corner of Washington in the Olympic Peninsula. It's west of the Puget Sound (and Seattle) and sits on the waters of the Strait of Juan de Fuca, south of Vancouver, BC. Because of it's location between the Olympic and Cascade mountain ranges, and it's proximity to the water, Sequim is known for it's sunshine. (in other words, a lot of people retire there!)

Kevin arranged a gig for us at the local winery - Olympic Cellars Winery, so that's what we did on Saturday.

On Sunday, we got up early and caught the 8am ferry to Victoria. Mom, Kayleigh and I (Jill) went to Butchart Gardens, and Sydney and Kevin hung around the city. Keith stayed back in Sequim and spent some time with his sister who recently retired in Sequim.

I'll share my pics from the gardens in my next post...
