Hiking Around Timberline

For Labor day we headed up to Timberline Lodge on Mt. Hood. So did hundreds of other people... we hiked part of the Pacific Crest Trail (that we hiked last October) and it was much busier than we anticipated. We passed a few "through" hikers - people who are hiking all or a significant part of the trail for and extended period of time. At least they looked and smelled like through hikers and were carrying impressive loads on their backs.

Anyway, here are some pics I took. It's amazing how little snow is on the mountain.We did get some rain last week - enough that the weeds in my yard have turned green again, giving our yard the appearance of green grass.
