Kevin had Monday off and proposed a backpacking/camping trip for Sunday - Monday. Since he's going to be gone all next week (in San Francisco for work), I suggested he and the girls go without me. I'll be honest - I love the idea of camping, but not the reality of it. Plus, sometimes I just need some time completely alone to recharge.
I spent my time getting work done (homeschool prep, Christmas cards for Compassion kids, housework) but also spent time creating and resting.
Monday morning I needed to go to the post office and opted to walk there (with my camera in hand). I found some early signs of fall, and even some free pumpkins (I carried one home and then drove back later for the rest!)
what is it about Fall that's so compelling? So beautiful, fresh, comfortable, free.. I love the smells, fragrance, energy I feel in September. Maybe my most favorite month. Thank you for capturing it Jill- beautiful pictures!
