News From Oregon

Perhaps you've heard it's a bit wet here in the Pacific Northwest. We had torrential downpours on Monday - record breaking rainfall that caused a lot of problems. A sinkhole under a major road caused the road to partially collapse on Monday, and by the end of the day the rest of the road had washed away. (photos are not mine)

I hung our Christmas lights this year and added these pretty snowflakes. I took a pic and then edited the h
heck out of it!

I tried something new for the mantel display this year and I like it. Love my little trees, but despite my efforts to water them, they are very brittle and dry. At least they are still green!

I'm also loving our centerpiece / advent "wreath"...

And we've written out the Christmas story from Luke 2. I also wanted to write it out in Spanish but haven't gotten around to that.

Despite some freezing temps at night, I still have some pretties blooming in my garden.

The yard is an absolute mess....so many leaves and so much mud from all the rain.
