Utah Trip - Days 1 and 2

This past week the Foley's set off for a week long road trip to Utah. Our final destination was Moab, but our first stop was Boise, Idaho. We arrived early enough to walk around the downtown and visit the Capitol building.  One thing that stuck out to me was how many geese I saw on the rooftops. We even saw an owl on one (pretty sure it was real), but I didn't have my camera with me at the time.

The girls thought the Capitol building was pretty cool. 

The next day (Saturday) we drove to Salt Lake City. We headed straight to Utah's Olympic Park in Park City to check it out.

They've built a ropes course and so we gave it a try. I'll admit...I was freaked out and didn't enjoy it one bit. I thought I was completely up for it until it came time to take the first step onto the course. Once you start, thought, there is no way out if anyone is behind you. There are two courses - lower and upper. We all did the lower, then Sydney and Kevin did the upper.

They had one curve of the bobsled track uncovered and Kayleigh and I watched  a sled zoom by.

After the ropes course, the other three wanted to do the zip line and drop. They rode the zip line to this platform, then dropped to the bottom. It doesn't seem like a big deal, but the first 25 of the fall was a free fall - then the belay rope would catch them and lower them down.

Then we headed to the ski jump area and rode the chair lift to the top. We wanted to ride the super zip line down, but it was pricey and Kayleigh didn't weigh enough.
