Crabbing at the Coast

We headed to the coast over the weekend - partly to escape the heat of Portland and partly just to get away and do something different. We decided to go crabbing for a bit, but didn't have much luck. Crabbing season is better in late September, but we forgot that until we were pulling up empty crab traps. We caught several female crabs and crabs that were two small to keep, but only two males that we were able to bring home.

After a couple hours of crabbing we headed north to Astoria, OR. It's a fun place to walk around.

The Astoria-Megler bridge spans 4.1 miles and goes from Oregon to Washington
