Last Week

I tried to catch the "surprise" part of the cousins coming....

Shortly after our guests arrived, we headed to Hood River for a gig at Stave and Stone winery.

The next morning was church, and then Kevin and headed out on our anniversary trip to Canada.

We spent Sunday night in Bellingham, WA - partly because it was cheaper and partly because we hadn't been there and thought it might be a cool town. We should have just gone all the way up to Canada.

Monday morning we headed to Vancouver and despite the rainy forecast, we went to Capilano Suspension Bridge park.

We walked every trail possible in the light rain and drizzle. I think my favorite was the "tree top adventure" which was a series of short suspension bridges between trees.

This was the "cliff walk" and it was pretty freaky.

Next we headed to Queen Elizabeth Gardens to see if we could get a good view of the city and mountains. It was still pretty cloudy, but we found a pretty nice park with gorgeous gardens.

  1. Great photos of your trip and the cousins! Everyone looks great, except the one of me. Yikes! I look like I haven't slept in days and had been up since 3:00am ET to travel across the country that day! hmmm, I guess that's accurate! That's my excuse anyway!!
