Weekend Trip

This past weekend we traveled up to Bremerton, WA (which is west of Seattle). Our reason for going was to hear Andrew Peterson in concert Sunday night, but we haven't been up to Bremerton before, so we decided to go early and check out the area.

There isn't much to do, so we walked around a lot.

There is a bug museum - which was really a shop with some bug displays. The girls got to hold a snake and they thought that was cool.

And they got to help Kevin put gas in the car...it's illegal to pump your own gas here in Oregon, so going to Washington can be a real treat for those who miss pumping gas. (not me...I love having someone else fill my car with gas!)

a glimpse of Mt Rainier

We saw some seal or sea lions playing in the water....

We also saw two huge wood peckers...

And finally on Sunday evening, it was time for the concert. We arrived more than an hour early, so we were able to get front row seats. It was a pretty small, intimate concert.

And we managed to say a quick "hello" to Andrew in the lobby before the concert.
