Wings of Fire

As you know, Sydney loves dragons. But maybe you didn't know that her favorite book series is called Wings of Fire and it's all about dragons. Kayleigh has read the series, too, and also really likes it. They like it so much that they have created a little "club" with other friends who like the series. They call their group WOFF (Wings of Fire Freaks). The group is made up of 3 sets of siblings - sisters Sydney and Kayleigh, brothers Ben and Kyle and sisters Abby and Angelina.

We know Ben and Kyle from church and we know Abby and Angelina from violin. It wasn't until this past week that all 6 members of WOFF were in the same room at the same time.

Sydney and Kayleigh hosted the first WOFF party, which just happened to coincide with the release date of the 9th book of the series.

Sydney worked on the decorations for weeks...

I just love seeing her creativity. As frustrating as homeschooling can be at times, I know it gives her the time to develop her skills and for that I'm grateful. None of these are copied or traced - they are all original creations. She continues to amaze me.

There were even special cupcakes for each dragon type....
