I feel so behind on blogging....I'm just going to post a few photos of everything we've been up to since we've returned from our trip to Tennessee.
The ducklings became very comfortable with us - they would waddle their way into our yard whenever they heard us come out, and eat right out of our hands.
One day they came all they way up to our back door.
I recently saw a raccoon in our tree, and after it climbed down, it headed over to the pond where I heard some awful wildlife noises. I have no idea what happened, but we haven't seen the ducks since that morning. I'm hoping they relocated.
We are officially done with school - most of our work was finished before our trip to Tennessee, but I just got around to taking the end of the year photos.
Kayleigh is volunteering for our library summer reading program. One day a week for 2 hours she helps people sign up and choose prizes for completing their game levels. It's crazy that my baby is old enough to volunteer!
We got a new table for outdoors and added a seating area. I absolutely love sitting out there in the morning and enjoying the birds and other wildlife that visit our back yard.
a couple of recent garden visitors
After Tennessee, our girls were invited to an all night getaway at a water park, so Kevin and I headed to wine country in the Willamette Valley for a getaway of our own.
Our summer calendar is full with a lot of gigs! We've already played at a couple farmer's markets and we have something almost every weekend from now through mid August.
My raspberries are amazing this year....we pick at night, and by morning there are just as many waiting to be picked! When I was in Tennessee, my dad mentioned that he loves Vivaldi's music for the Four Seasons. I've never played it, so I ordered the music and am enjoying learning it. Right now I'm working on Summer.
Our friends from Afghanistan have welcomed baby Amin into the world. He's just beautiful and such a good baby so far.

My friend that I know through Compassion came to Portland (from California) and we were able to meet up with her and her family for lunch and a walk. It was a beautiful day - sunny and in the low 70s.
