The day before my birthday, the girls had some friends over. They surprised me with this cake.
The garden is simply beautiful this time of year.
Sydney started back to school earlier than Kayleigh this year...she's in Challenge A with Classical Conversations and they meet 6 weeks longer than the younger kids. Because of our upcoming trip, they started a week earlier than normal so Sydney wouldn't miss the first 2 weeks.

We are trying to fit in all the things we didn't get around to before summer is over.
This monkey sits in our tree....we found him on the sidewalk and assume he fell out of a stroller. We keep hoping the owner will walk by again and claim him, but he's been there at least a week now.
Your garden is gorgeous! No pressure on me to show you my once thriving, now past glory (like me??) little planters and flowers...not at all. But you're here to see us, right?? Who cares if my petunias are getting at little woody??
