I had a window seat and was able to take these cool photos of the lakes and neighborhood where we live.
In this one I circled our house.
And Mt. Hood sticking out of the cloud cover...
While Kevin was interviewing on Monday, the girls and I set off for the city. We were chauffeured by "Joe's Limo", which actually turned out to be a Lincoln Town Car - not a limo. We got dropped off at the Science Museum (all courtesy of the interview hosts.
You could lay on a giant bed of nails and then press a button to have the nails raise....it was weird. I thought it felt uncomfortable, but the girls thought it was cool.
We also got to go through a butterfly garden that was so cool.
Sydney wasn't feeling great so we had the driver drop us off for a quick look at the capitol building and then take us to Dave and Kara Miller's house.
On our way out of town we drove by Cheers.
It's been 4 years since we've seen the Millers and their boys have grown up so much. Sam is now 16 - a junior in high school and driving. Josh is 13 and in eighth grade. They were so friendly and got along great with the girls.
Danny is six and in first grade. He's hilarious and so cute.
Tuesday morning we toured the Christian school that Josh and Danny attend. Kayleigh stayed for the whole day to see what going to school was like (she prefers homeschooling), and Sydney and I spent the day with Kara. Sydney was feeling worse (sore throat and cough) so we just stayed at the Millers house.
Wednesday we drove around the area a bit....looking for possible neighborhoods in case the possibility of a move becomes a reality. Then we headed to the airport with high hopes of getting out before the nor'easter hit and canceled all flights. We were so grateful to make it out on time and had a lovely flight home.
Sounds like a very interesting time in Boston. How wonderful that you got to see the Millers! It's really been 4 years since you've seen them? Wow!So grateful you got out before the storm hit. So, are you going to become New Englanders??
