The resort where we stayed was located right on the ocean. There was not a beach on our resort, but a 5 minute walk north or south would take you to a beach. Or if you wanted to walk further you could ...there were several beaches within walking distance.
Did you know all the beaches in Maui (maybe all of Hawaii) are public? So even a resort with beach front doesn't own the beach - they have to allow public access.
Anyway...there was a gorgeous 2 mile path that went along the ocean and I walked/ran it every day. Here's some of what I saw.
