Moving...

Our home for the past 8 years is for sale!

After looking for a home in Hood River for over a year, we finally found a place that is perfect for us. We will have about an acre of land and we are excited about moving to a smaller community.

This first photo is very old, but will give you an idea of the layout of the house and the lot. The second garage now has a driveway and all the trees are much bigger. The back yard is truly a yard now - not a patch of dirt.

This is what you see when you are looking at the front of the house. I'm going to clear out the tall every greens and open up the front.

Garden area on the side of the house (not pictured in the aerial shot). There are several garden beds and I have dreams for making this area beautiful. There 9 or 10 blueberry bushes and then 2 or 3 rows of grapevines that have table grapes. There are raspberry bushes, strawberry beds, plum trees and more growing on the property. 

I took this photo from the back patio. You can see Kevin standing at the beginning of the garden area, and that's a really nice garden shed.

This greenhouse is attached to the second garage that is not attached to the house. We will have two, 2 car garages. One is attached, one is not.

The property is full of hydrangea varieties, rose of sharon bushes and so much more!

There is a hot tub!! They are also leaving their trampoline and basketball hoop.

This is the living room area...off to the left you can see a hallway. That goes to the garage and there are several closets and a 1/2 bath down there. The hallway to the right leads to 3 bedrooms, a full bath and the laundry room.

 This picture was taken from the living room...we'll use that area where the table is for school. We'll likely hang our world map on that wall and put our desks where the table is.

The kitchen is literally in the center of the home. Hickory cabinets, stainless steel appliances....it's beautiful!

On the other side of the kitchen is a large dining room - I'm so excited to have ample space to sit around the dining room table! And can you see how open the house is?

There are sliding glass doors from the dining room to the back patio. 

On the other side of the dining room is a family room. (again...we'll be painting that wall!)

Here are a couple pics of the house after the previous owners moved out. You can see just how open the entire house is. I love that we can be in our own space, but still within sight. The front door is that first door on the right down the hall. That is a really wide hall/entrance. Across from the dining room on the right is the master bedroom suite.

The master bedroom isn't huge, but it's separate and that's so nice. You can see the hot tub through the window there...

There is a walk-in closet across from the bathroom, but there are also two closets in the room. There is so much storage in this house!!!

We have a lot of work to do...we want to paint the entire interior and get new carpet. But we are excited. Please pray with us that our house in Fairview sells soon. It's been on the market 2 1/2 weeks and we've only had 2 showings so far. We'll keep you posted on the move and definitely show you photos as we settle in and make this house our home.
