Hood River and our location continues to amaze me. I knew living here would be a welcome change, but I had no idea just how much I would love it. I love the beauty of this place, but I also love living in a small town.
The photo above was taken from the corner of our property. The sun was setting and reflecting back on Mt. Adams to the north. The photo below was looking to the west - directly at the sunset.
We've had a couple "rainbow" days....days where we look out and see full rainbows several times throughout the days. I took this one from the side of our house, looking east.
One of the views from my run...looking at Mt. Adams to the north.
We have a couple colorful trees on our property!
Mt. Hood - another view from another run.
Hood River is built on a pretty steep hill and there are a series of staircases that you can climb to get to the top of the hill. I used to love to "do the stairs" when we'd visit Hood River. Now I can do them whenever I want.
I discovered another trail near our house. It's basically across the street from us and when you walk the whole trail, it's just about a mile. It's a lovely place to walk and run.
Can you see Mt. Adams?
It's just a dream that you're living in such a glorious place! The views are extraordinary!! I can't wait to get out there again next year to experience more of the beauty. And to sit at the very big, very stylish newly built picnic table on your patio!
