Olympic National Park - part 1

To celebrate my mom's 70th birthday and because we've never done it before, we (the four Foleys, mom and Keith, and Aaron and Darren), met up in Forks, WA for a long weekend. We rented a beautiful house surrounded by 10 acres of woods and located minutes from some of Olympic National Park's coastal beaches.

We met up Friday in the late afternoon and spent the evening catching up, eating and playing games.

The next morning we headed out to the Hoh Rain Forest area to hike the Hall of Mosses trail. The Columbia River Gorge (where we live) is considered rain forest, but the Hoh Rain Forest was more rain-foresty. It was really cool to see.
