June in Review

We had an unusually cool and wet spring (wettest spring on record in the past 80 years), but the flowers were incredible.

By the first couple weeks of June it was finally time to get my seedling starts in the garden. I started EVERYTHING from seed this year. I counted my starts at one point and it was over 300!

Veggies: arugula, lettuce, komatsuna, kale, collards, quinoa, carrots, zucchini, tomatoes, acorn squash, spaghetti squash, little pumpkins, broccoli, onions, bean, cucumbers, artichoke, cilantro, basil, dill

Flowers: amaranth, marigolds, zinnias, cosmos, sunflowers, black eyed susan, bells of ireland, milkweek, statice, painted daisy, bachelor's buttons, wildflowers

In mid-June we had a luau dinner party. It was fun, but very cool outside!

My good friend opened her lavender farm!
