Annual Multnomah Falls Hike

Every year during the month of May, the girls and I hike to the top of Multnomah Falls. Sometimes we go a bit farther to see another beautiful waterfall. This year we invited a friend from our Classical Conversations group and took advantage of a sunny day. As always, it was gorgeous! I really like visiting these waterfalls in the spring because there is so much water from all the rain.

The other day the girls and I drove to Multnomah Falls for our annual hike to the top. We've actually already done this hike recently, but I really wanted to go about a mile past the top of Multnomah to see Weisendanger Falls (which I've only seen on instagram).

More Frozen Waterfalls

We had another cold snap here in OR this past week. Cold enough to make the waterfalls pretty and icy. On Friday, the girls and I took a quick trip to the closest falls to see the ice....it was worth the drive!

It's continued to be pretty cold here and I'd heard it's been even colder in the Gorge so the girls and I took a quick trip to Multnomah Falls today so see what frozen falls look like. It was gorgeous. A beautiful mix of autumn and winter with hardly anyone there. We didn't stay long because it was cold!
