Under the Sea

I've been hearing about Family Fun Nights on some other blogs and it's such a great idea, we just had to give it a try ourselves! I had so much fun planning this week. I didn't tell anyone in the family that we were doing it......it was a surprise.

So what is Family Fun Night? I'm so glad you asked....it's really an excuse to throw a themed party just for the fun of it....an opportunity to celebrate life as a family....an opportunity to create many memories.

Our first Family Fun Night was "Under the Sea". I can't say all the ideas were mine, but some of them were.

The only thing I had to buy were the streamers...oh and I found the cute fish cut outs at Office Max so I picked up those. Originally I planned to have the girls make fish out of construction paper, but this was easier this time.

Then there was the food..........

Octopus Hot Dogs
this was a huge hit with the girls!

Kevin and I ate fish and I also made mac and cheese with shell pasta. And we had "seaweed" - green beans.

For dessert we decorated little fish cookies that I had made earlier in the day.






I hope this was the first of many Family Nights for the Foley Family. I know some of my friends here are inspired to give it a try and hopefully some of you are too. There are LOTS of ideas out there....
