I decided around 3:30 this afternoon that it was time for another Family Fun Night. So we did it ABC style.
We had ABC breadsticks...actually OFJKA breadsticks
Alphabet soup...I kind of made this recipe up and it was so yummy!
At dinner we discussed which letter was the tastiest...we came up with C. (chocolate, cookies, candy canes, ice cream cones, cake...you get the idea). I even read a Christmas Alphabet book I happened to pick up at the library this morning.
yummy letters!!!!
ReplyDeletewe will have to have a family fun night when we come!!!
Mom
Love your family night themes. I would like to try that at our house but Iam struggling to find something that will get the attention of a 2, 4, 12, 13 and 17 year old - AND to have them all in the same place to make it happen! ;o) Maybe we'll have to do lunch with mom or something to cater to the little 'uns.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your winnings. I actually e-mailed Jessica to confirm that I was the legit winner o h Walmart/Nick thing ;0) It was so exciting, that I thought may be too good to be true. She is exploring her faith so I made sure to mention what a blessing it was - and where I felt it came from ;0)
Anyways - love keeping up with your family through your blog - I aspire to be as diligent as you ;) You are my bloggy hero.
Merry Christmas Jill!
Hey! That's a great idea! I made home made pretzels and this would be so much more fun than that standard pretzel shape!
ReplyDeleteSonja - We do family pizza night where I make the dough and the family decorates their own pizzas. I get a bunch of toppings in individual bowls and let them go to town. I have three kids ages 5 and under, but this seems to entertain the hubby as well :)
This is such a great idea!!! I've been thinking about starting themed dinner nights with my family. I just haven't taken the plunge. My family and extended family use to do it a couple of years ago. It was fun!
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to get some ideas from you and Britt.
