Ladybug, Smiles and Parties

So we've had this ladybug stone we made last summer while in Illinois. For some reason it never got painted and when the snow melted, Sydney remembered that it needed to be painted. I kept telling her we would do it after our trip to NY. (that and potty-training Kayleigh).

The morning after we got home, Sydney said, "Guess what we get to do now?"

I said, "Honey, we aren't going to teach Kayleigh how to use the potty today. I have too much other stuff to do."

She replied, "No mom...it's after NY so we need to paint the ladybug."

And so we did...

The animals were having a party on Sunday! I think this was inspired by the party and decorations we had at Grandpa and Grandma Foley's while in NY. Anyway, I thought this was pretty creative. If you look closely you can see bracelets hanging on the palm trees as decorations.
