Unplugged

In an effort to be more intentional with my kids, we have turned off the tv this week. When I announced this to the girls, Sydney and Kevin thought it would be a good idea if I also turned off the computer...and so, if things are a little quiet around here, it's because mommy is unplugged for the majority of the day. I am allowing myself limited computer time when the girls are asleep or resting, but not when they are awake.

I thought the girls would go through "withdrawl", so to speak, but they did quite well today. I even let them wash the dishes after breakfast!


Have you heard of "Muffin tin Monday"? Probably not....I don't even have the link anymore, but I'm sure if you google it you'll come up with a blog about it. I remembered it today while getting a snack ready and so I put their snack in muffin tins. Then for dinner we had mini-meatloaves (baked in muffin tins) and rolls (also baked in muffin tins). I always make my meatloaf like this - it cuts down on baking time and makes individual serving sizes.
