Another Snake

BIG snake yesterday...and little snake today. This one we found in our yard. I was mowing our weeds (the grass is mostly dead, especially in the front yard, but the weeds are thriving and I had to mow them today!) and this little guy gave me a bit of a scare. I just didn't expect to see him, so I jumped when he moved.

He was easy to catch in the net, and Syd let him go under the deck (where she thinks he lives). I love Sydney's expression here.

Other than the plethora of weeds, this seems to be the only thing growing in my garden. We have some little cucumbers just starting, but they are teeny.
