Zoo Presentation

We went to a zoo presentation today at the local park. I was a little disappointed by the animals they brought, but the girls seemed to enjoy it. They had desert millipede, boa constrictor, tarantula and hissing cockroach. I was hoping for some animals with more fur (and the tarantula doesn't count as furry!).

They talked about each animal and then at the end, allowed the kids to come and "pet" the animals (with the exception of the tarantula). It was total chaos. The girls and I went to the guys with the least crowd, but were quickly cut in front by unruly, excited kids and their camera-wielding moms. It was one of those moments that quickly made me put my camera away, because I realized how obnoxious they were being - all to get a picture. (And I realized I was capable of being just at obnoxious).

We waited for most of the kids to leave, and then went and got some closer looks (and a couple pictures).
