Brahms is one of the Romantic giants - one of the three great B's (Bach, Beethoven and Brahms). Since February is such a "romantic" month, I thought it fitting to fall in love with some beautiful romantic music (1800-1910).
Books:
Suggested Listening:
- Hungarian Dances
- Academic Festival Overture
- Violin Sonatas
- Brahms Lullaby or Cradle Song
- Symphony No. 4 (I walked down the aisle at our wedding to the theme from the 4th movement)
That's all I've got for you for now...If I think of more or run across other resources and ideas, I'll share them. I'm off to listen to some Hungarian Dances....
I've been dying to know who you had chosen this month! I've played Academic Festival Overture and it was fun. Oddly enough, I haven't done much Brahms listening so this should be fun.
