New Children

Once again I have child packets sitting on my counter - two children who are waiting for sponsors. I try to always have child packets....just in case.

When I became an advocate 15 years ago, I committed to speaking up on behalf of these little ones. I know my audience is quite limited here on this private blog, but it doesn't keep me from doing my job.

My job is not to convince you to sponsor a child. My job is to advocate - to speak up.

"Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy." ~ Proverbs 31:8-9

It's God's job to bring in the harvest. Is God speaking to you about sponsorship? Recently I asked David, my LDP student in Peru, how the ministry of Compassion impacted his family. I would love for you to hop on over to Compassion Family and read his response. It's a little long, but totally worth it. Be sure not to miss his final sentences.

In the meantime, let me introduce you to Elizabeth from Bolivia. Her birthday is April 16, 2008. She is one of six children and she loves to play with dolls.

And this is Feraol from Ethiopia. He was born October 30, 2005 and is one of three children. Not surprisingly, he likes to play soccer.

If you are able to sponsor one of these children, please let me know and I'll get their information to you.

And don't forget to read David's story....

  1. such cute little children. I've gotten a couple things from Compassion about sponsoring older children. I wish I could right now, but I can't...I do want to add to our two at some time, perhaps as my girls get older and can write more on their own.
