White River Falls

We left the campground early Sunday morning (by 8:30am) and headed back home. There was a state park we passed on the way that we knew we wanted to go to, so that's where we were headed. There is this part of the Deschutes River that you cross that is a really popular fishing spot. It is the only place on the river where you can fish with bait. It is also where the Native Americans can fish with nets. Can you see the wooden docks? They stand on them and try to catch salmon with their nets.

We soon arrived at White River Falls State Park. This is a view of the first set of falls from the top.

And here we are looking the other direction, down the gorge. We started hiking down there and soon realized the views were even more beautiful down there.

This is looking back up - the falls on the top are the first set we saw (from the top). There were also tons of birds flying back and forth between the sides of rock.

Then we came to another set of falls...

It was absolutely beautiful!
