I had the wonderful opportunity to join other Compassion advocates for a weekend retreat in Corbett, OR. It was refreshing to get away from my regular duties and focus some time and energy on the ministry of Compassion....to reconnect with old friends and to meet new ones.
Kevin and the girls had quite a good time while I was gone. They participated in a children's race at our nearby park, and excitedly told me about it when I got home. They were so tired and were in bed by 6:15 pm.
After church we set out for a family hike. Not remembering the girls had participated in the equivalent of a child's marathon the day before, we set out on a 7 mile hike. Honestly, we didn't think we'd make it all the way to the falls, but we did....and we were all a little tired by the end.
