The blues you see are so tropical ~ so unbelievable. I will admit that in some of my photos I used a setting that makes colors "pop" so it's a little more vivid. But even in real life, the blues of the water are just fantastic. I'll start with the natural photos, then put some "popped" ones so you can see the difference.
And the water is so, so clear. We hiked down to the water and you'll see some of those photos.
Now....grab something to drink (coffee, tea, wine...) and enjoy the beauty of God's creation.
This tiny, little island is called Phantom Ship
And this island is called Wizard Island
These next photos are from when we walked down to the water.
We picked up some pumice on the way down and the girls threw it in the lake to watch it float.
I love the contrast of this yellow plant and the blue water.
We all dipped our feet in the water to cool off.
And Kevin went for a swim
If you look closely in this pic, you'll see a trout.
And we saw many crayfish (see how clear the water is?!?!)
So that was our beautiful Crater Lake experience. So, so beautiful.
o boy- that is so beautiful! I can't believe how clear and calm the lake is-
ReplyDeleteSpectacular!! It is so clear & blue & clean! What a gorgeous day you had! Was the water cold? I was surprised to see Kevin go swimming! I can see why you were blown away there. Maybe someday we can go there with you!
ReplyDeleteUNBELIEVABLE!!!! The colors are so vibrant!!! Was the water cold? Those beautiful girls just get cuter and more beautiful! And they have grown so much since July! I hope to see that lake sometime. Glad you finally made it!!!
