Lately I've noticed a new trend in my girls' playing....they like to set things up and display them. I remember doing this...I probably still do it!
Mostly for memory's sake, I thought I would post a few examples.
Here's is Taffy's home, decorated for Christmas....
And Uni and Leah inhabit this cozy spot, also decorated for Christmas.
Kilkony's home is a bit grander.
I loved peeking in and seeing the Christmas decorations they have made or found....
They also have a welcome sign for the Christmas Angel and have set out some books for him/her to read.
And then there are the Legos.....they really only "build" when Kevin plays with them. Otherwise, they spend their time setting up battles and moving the characters around.
Although I find these "displays" creative and endearing, it also drives me a bit crazy. I just want to put everything away to keep the rooms neat and tidy, but usually I let them just put away the excess. After all, I'm certainly guilty of keeping lots of my stuff out, too.
That's so sweet! It brings back memories for me too- I used to do that sort of thing all the time when I was a child! I just love seeing their imaginations blossom. Thanks for sharing.
