Busy Weekend, Busy Month

February is here!

The month started out with a great opportunity. There was an advocate gathering (for Compassion advocates in the northwest region) near Portland, and the featured speaker was Maria Momojara Diamond from Peru. Maria is a formerly sponsored child who now lives in the states and speaks on behalf of Compassion. I first met Maria in Peru in August 2010. She was then working for Compassion Peru as a translator and was a translator for our team!

It was so, so good to hear her story and get to know her better. She is a beautiful person and has a beautiful faith. I wrote more about her story at Compassion Family and would urge you to go over and read it.

I was asked to give a presentation about making Compassion your family ministry and Kevin agreed to help me present. It was really fun to do this together.

And Mom and Keith are back from Hawaii. They got back Friday morning and will be spending this week with us. We had 4 house showings over the weekend so we had to get out and go to Hood River (boo hoo).

We had lunch at a local brewery and then hit some wine tasting spots.

Now it's Monday and the girls start swimming lessons today.

And we have karate lessons tonight.

And I have a full week of violin lessons to teach.

And Kevin starts teaching an apologetics class at church on Wednesday nights.

And we have a field trip to see The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe at the Oregon theater this week.

And somewhere in there we need to learn something and do some math.

And we also need to have fun with grandma and grandpa.
