Tuesday while I was at Bible study, the girls had art lessons with Grandma. Sydney has been begging me to paint on canvas and I thought I would take advantage of mom's experience and expertise to finally do this.
Here are the results....
This one is Kayleigh's. She surprised us all with how well she did. Syd's natural artistic talent seems to cast a shadow over Kay's attempts, but not this time!
And here is Syd's final piece. She had her own idea in mind and wanted to do her own thing.

This time around it's a nasty cough and runny noses. We had tickets to go see The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe - a theater production in Portland - tomorrow, but I had to cancel that. Thankfully, there were plenty of people wanting tickets and I was able to sell all 5 of mine.
Here's a final picture from a couple days ago when the girls were still feeling well. They were riding in their carriage.
What beautiful paintings! The girls have definitely inherited their Grandma Dee Dee's artistic talent. So sad to hear they're sick again. The bugs going around this year are very persistent. Some of the families here can't seem to stay healthy either. Too bad you had to cancel your theater trip. Hope they're better real soon.

OOOHHHHH Grandma had so much fun. Amazed at how talented they both are. Each have their own style!!! love it! Wish I could do that more often.
