A Week in Illinois

We just got back last night from a week in Illinois. The girls and I flew into Chicago on Sunday and Kevin joined us in Peoria on Wednesday night.

Before driving to Morton, we stopped for a tour of Lego land in the suburbs of Chicago. Both of our girls are Lego lovers and were in Lego heaven! There were several different themed exhibits to walk through (a jungle, spider webs, Star Wars) and we saw a couple movies and rode a couple rides.

Then we headed to Morton...

There are always a couple things on my "must do" list when I go home to Morton. Eat at Steak and Shake, go to Dairy Queen, drive by my old house, school and church... This time I managed to do all of them on my first full day there!

We also visited my grandma and the girls' great grandma several times. On Monday we were scheduled to give a violin concert in the afternoon and it was a joy for all of us.

I also got to spend quite a bit of time with my childhood best friend, Robin and her kids. We saw them Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday! Here are my girls with her two kids - Hayden and Ava.

I'll post more about our week later. It was a fun-filled week that went by very quickly!!
