Turning Seven

Saturday was a big day at our house - a day full of celebration for our littlest family member.

One of our traditions is that the birthday girl gets to design and decorate her own cake. This is what Kayleigh came up with this year.

She also got to pick the day's activities. We headed east to Hood River and did some apple picking at an orchard.

The apple picking didn't take very long, so we headed to a nearby pumpkin patch to get our pumpkins.

It was a really neat pumpkin field with all sorts of pumpkin and squash and gourd varieties.

After our apple and pumpkin picking, we headed into town for a late lunch / early dinner at a local pizza place. Then we headed home for cake and presents. Kayleigh wanted a fancy night, so we all dressed up. She got to pick what we all wore.

She even braided her sister's hair!!

For those of you who know Kayleigh...you know she is such a sweet heart. She had so much fun and fully enjoyed her special day!
