New Carpet

I mentioned in an earlier post that we got new carpet last week. We intended to get new carpet when we moved into this house three years ago...but then I went off to Peru and saw the reality of poverty and a lot of  our house plans were put on hold.

Early this year we tried to sell the house and realized through feedback that in order to get the price we hope to get, we need to do some updating. So first on our list were the bathrooms. Finally we got around to getting new carpet.

This is all in an effort to get the house ready to put back on the market in 2014. We don't know when we'll try to sell - before or after our big trip - or even where we will go. But we both want more land. In fact, the house we wanted last year is still on the market. Maybe it's our house and the timing just wasn't right before.

At any rate....here's the new carpet. It's so soft and plush and clean and soft. (I know I said soft twice...that's to emphasize how soft it is). We went from cream colored to a light brown speckle. We still have one room with the old carpet.
