We started back to school last week. It actually was an easier transition than I'd thought it would be. I think we were all ready for a little more structure to our days.
On Tuesday we had a field trip to OMSI (the science museum). We took a tour of the submarine and then had a submarine lab class.
Yesterday during school I heard Sydney say to Kayleigh, "Does it look like a real mustache?" She had drawn on her lip...not sure why.
We finally saw the sun yesterday. I was excited about the prospect of running in the sun and waited ALL morning for it to come out. Finally at 12:15 I told the girls we just had to go because we had plans at 1:30 and I really wanted to get a run in. So we went for our run/bike ride and as soon as we got home the clouds cleared and the sun came out.
At least it wasn't raining.
Sunny, winter days usually mean beautiful sunsets so at 4:30ish I headed across the street to capture the sunset. I came home quite pleased with my pictures.
But then at 5ish I looked out again and realized it was much more beautiful than what I had captured so I headed back across the street.....it was so pretty.
Today we are baking cookies and muffins to share with some friends. My friend, Aimee, is battling breast cancer and we are taking her a meal tonight. For those who have been praying for her....the treatment is working, but it's also really taking its toll on Aimee. She has no energy and looks terrible. But thankfully, the tumor has shrunk significantly! She has a treatment to day and then one or two more...
And, as always, the girls are practicing their violins every day!
Thanks for the update on Aimee-our prayers continue.
