Sunriver

We had the chance to go down to Central Oregon again this past weekend, and spend some time in Sunriver. Some friends from church joined us and we had a nice little getaway and time of fellowship. At one point there were 9 adults and 4 kids. Some people came late, others left early and some stayed two nights.

It was fun, but it was a crazy weekend weather-wise.

Friday was one of those days where the sun would come out, then it would hail, then it would snow and then the sun would come out and the whole process would repeat.

Here are some pics from the most significant hail storm, that lasted about 10 minutes.

One of the things I love most about vacationing in Sunriver is the opportunity to run, walk and bike the many miles of bike paths. We didn't do any biking this time (too cold), but I got out for several walks and a couple runs. It's always beautiful.

We also had a great time with friends. This is Tabby - my girls love, love, love Tabby!

Tabby, Andrew and their son Liam ended up staying the longest. We took them to a lava cave on Friday to explore a bit.

This is their 15 month old son, Liam.

We also went into Bend and walked along the Deschutes River before they headed back to Portland.

We stayed an extra day and when we left today it was beautiful, sunny and clear. We hiked up Pilot Butte and had this beautiful view of Mt. Bachelor and the three Sisters mountains.
