Utah ~ Dead Horse Point and Canyonlands

Wednesday of our trip, we headed to Dead Horse Point State Park and Canyonlands. I'd head the view from Dead Horse was amazing and it lived up to its hype (in my opinion).

That's the Colorado River, and as you can see, it looks similar to the Grand Canyon. Amazingly, we were the only ones in the whole state park and we were there for about an hour. I absolutely loved walking around, but Kevin was a little more freaked out.

After I had gotten my fill, we headed to Canyonlands National Park. Our first stop was Mesa Arch.

Then we headed to the Grand View spot and took in more of the view. The northern part of the park is called "Island in the Sky" and is mostly views of the canyons.

This particular spot was called "the monuments". Kevin didn't have any interest in hiking here, so we headed out of the park earlier than planned and went looking for a hike that wasn't part of either of the national parks.
